PAROL+ app for iPhone and iPad

PAROL + is an innovative application that allows people who have lost speech (tracheotomy, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) to communicate simply. With its ergonomic interface, PAROL + benefits from the smart prediction engine Mind2Speech.

Mind2Speech engine learns the lexical habits of its user. It improves the predictive precision and the speed of composition of a message (by predicting/proposing the most relevant/probable words for the rest of the message). The messages can be heard orally by a voice synthesis, or directly shared by email, text or any other messaging tools.

PAROL + keeps the history of the users sentences. In addition, standard phrases can be saved as quick messages in the form of emergency messages or as favorites.

The predictions are presented in list form. If the word is present in the list, only one gesture is needed to write it. When the user cant find the word on the list, access to the keyboard is possible. A list of dynamic completions is then proposed according to the characters entered.

The predictions can be sorted and organized in the distinctive color zones for the different criteria: most probable words first, alphabetical order, word categories (verbs, names, etc.).

In the current version of the application, two modes of accessibility are offered: a "classic" mode, where the user uses the touchscreen; A "switch" mode where the user uses a switch/contactor, and an option to scroll the different selection areas on the screen.
